Gbenga Paseda,

Gbenga is the Managing Director of VFD Tech Ltd., a subsidiary of VFD Group, where he oversees technology management for VBank and other entities within and outside the group. With over thirteen years of experience in digital financial services, product development, project management, and business strategy across various sectors such as Banking, Agriculture, Oil & Gas, and Maritime Services.

Before his current role, Gbenga served as the Executive Director of Products at VFD Tech, where he scaled the company’s business capabilities, including the Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) product, and promoted key partnerships. He initially joined VFD as a Senior Product Manager, overseeing VBank’s digital channels including USSD, POS issuing and acquiring, card issuing, and WhatsApp banking. Prior to VFD, Gbenga worked at prominent pan-African banks including UBA Group Plc, Ecobank Nigeria, and Zenith Bank, gaining comprehensive experience in the financial sector.

Areas of expertise include leadership, go-to-market strategy formulation, product development & management, negotiation, stakeholder management as well as marketing including campaign management, among others.
